2D animation and 3D animation are very different disciplines. 2D animation involves creating characters and backgrounds on a flat page. 3D animation involves building these characters and backgrounds in a virtual set. In 2D animation I work mainly with Adobe Creative Cloud software – Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects and Premiere. For 3D work, I use Photoshop and Sketchup.
